Sir. Truong Chinh, whose real name was Dang Xuan Khu, was born on February 9th, 1907 in Hanh Thien Village, Xuan Truong District, Nam Dinh Province. In 1927, he joined the revolutionary youth organization, which was the forerunner of Indochina's Communist Party.

In 1982, during the 5th Congress of the Communist Party, he was appointed to the central executive committee and was a member of the Politburo. In July, 1986, during the special Conference of the Party Central Committee, he was elected General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Because of his great devotion to the national liberation cause as well as the build up and defense of the country, he was awarded a Gold Star Medal and many other noble medals by the Government and National Assembly.

On February 9th , 2007, Ministry of Posts & Telematics (MPT) issues the stampset: Birth centenary of Truong Chinh (09/02/1907 - 30/9/1988), 01 value of 800d (3419).

The stamp features a portrait of the late General Secretary of Vietnam Communist Party, Truong Chinh,   highlighting the character of a resolved and clear-sighted Party leader as well as the spirit of an indomitable Vietnamese communist./.

 

 

Implementing the Resolution of Vietnam Communist Party's 10th Congress

Held on 18th-25th April in Ha Noi, the 10th National Congress of Vietnamese Communist Party approved the three significant resolutions. The congress appealed to the whole party, and nation for raising revolutionism, bringing into play glorious tradition of our party, and nation, being consistent with the targets of nation independence, and socialism, being dynamic, creative, grasping opportunities, overcoming challenges, being determined to successfully implement the resolutions of the 10th National Party’s Congress.

To enhance leading ability, and militant spirits of the Party, upholding the whole nation’s strength, comprehensively promoting the renovation process, bringing Viet Nam to get out of the under-developed situation, fulfilling the process of prosperous people, strong country, just, and civilized society.

On February 3rd, 2007, Ministry of Posts & Telematics (MPT) issues the stampset: “Implementing the Resolution of Vietnam Communist Party’s 10th Congress”, 01 value of 800d.

The images on the stamp express generally the contents and guidelines of the resolution of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Communist Party.

 

 

Death Centenary of Tran Te Xuong (1870 - 1907)

Sir. Tran Te Xuong, whose real name was Tran Duy Uyen, was called Tu Xuong, alias Mac Trai, also known as Mong Tich. He was born on August 10th, 1870 in Vi Xuyen Village, My Loc District, Nam Dinh Province. He was very intelligent and keen on satire. However, he didn’t have good luck with the exams. Being not succeeded in competition-examinations 8 times created a profound imprint in his mind. It’s possible to say that exams fail, and poverty were his abundant subjects. Being born, and grown up in feudal and colonial regime, his works honestly and vividly described that transitional picture of society, representing his state of mind. It was considered as an indictment to accuse of the colonial and feudal society in the late half of the 19th century.

On the 20th January 2007, Ministry of Posts & Telematics (MPT) issues the stampset: “Death centenary of Tran Te Xuong (1870 - 1907)”, 01 value of 1,000d (3417).

The stamp features a portrait of the Poet against the image of his humble and hard - working wife, who had quite an effect on his poetic works./.
